Six months after the airy yet anthemic debut song “Heading Home”, Gryffin released an acoustic version which got me thinking…original or remix, which is better?

While I’ll leave that up to you guys (share your thoughts via Twitter here), my mood definitely influences this decision. For upcoming originals vs. remixes, another artist remixing a track may be easier to lean towards or quickly skip on my Spotify.

I’m not sure if its the vocals of Aussie Joseph Salvat- that are pretty much the smoothest, solemn and hopeful pipes getting mainstream airplay right now- or the nostalgic 1980s ending movie credits feel of the original…but I’m as indecisive as ever. Both are atmospheric, open, and melodious with a freshness to them that I can’t wait to hear more of from Gryffin.
