The life of a big time music artist, travel the world and get paid while doing it. This I what Action Bronson, a.k.a. Arian Aslant, claims to be the best job he’s ever had. We have the chance to take a look at the luscious life of Mr. Wonderful while he travels the world with his companions Big Body Bes, Mayham Lauren, and The Alchemist during their tour and days post tour. Along the journey, we partake in the fabulous cuisine found across the globe. This is what “F*ck, That’s Delicious” is all about.

“F*ck, That’s Delicious is a phrase that is literally a feeling; there are no other words to describe what you ate. You just have to curse and be vulgar and violent about what’s happening.” – Action Bronson

Action Bronson, believe it or not, successfully completed culinary school and became a gourmet chef in New York City. He began his life on the eastern side of New York City in Queens. Bronson’s rapping career was not of his concern at the time. It was January of 2011 when Action Bronson slipped and fell, breaking his leg. It was a complete freak accident, but since that happened, he began to rap.

Soon after, people began to recognize his talent and pay him to rap, he realized that this could be the turning point for his future. Only a couple of months after he broke his leg, Action Bronson released his first album, “Dr. Lecter,” which he paired his culinary vocabulary with aggressive 90s vocabulary.  His “Mr. Wonderful” album was released March 23, 2015, and quickly worked its way onto the Billboard Top 10 album chart. The charting album features Big Body Bes, Mayhem Lauren, and Chance The Rapper.

May 7, 2014. Paired up with Viceland, Action Bronson launches his first episode of the hit series. Starting us off in New York City, he gives us the scoop on what he’s been up to on tour earlier that year. Bronson also takes us on a tour of some of the local spots, like Eddie’s Sweet Shop in Queens, New York. We learn a little bit about some of the spots he’s been to in Cape Town where all the meat is prepared on a huge open pit fire. We hear the sizzle and the smoke of the food being prepared in front of our eyes.

Now while you classify this series to be a food show, it’s not going to be found on the Food Channel (at least not while the kids are awake). Bronson is known for being open about his feelings. When he says it’s “f*cking delicious,” he means it with every ounce of his soul. His vocabulary is refined, elegant, and sometimes vulgar. Yet even when he discusses how things “light you’re ass on fire,” the choice music gives his words sound rather elegant.

Elegant is the proper word for how to describe what you witness each show… From the dingy dive restaurants in the back of a graffiti filled night club in London, to a classy white table clothed restaurant in New York City. Bronson eats it all, in all places. His appetite for food has no limits. Through the series, I can say I have learned a lot about food and a lot of good spots to dine around the world.

If you have yet to understand the luxury of truffles, and not the chocolate kind, Bronson takes a trip in NYC with his high school friend Mike Rojas to hustle some truffles. Truffles shaved on golden plates is just the luxury that he gets to experience when he makes his stop at Per Se. He even takes a trip to the finest kitchens of the renowned chefs of Mario Batali and Michael White. At the esteemed Vaucluse restaurant in New York, Michael White gives Action Bronson and Mike Rojas the private tour of what goes on in his kitchen. The 30 day dry aged beef was one of the benefits they got to enjoy during their visit, it left me salivating.

Currently Viceland and Bronson are in the midst of releasing episodes of their second season, currently 23 episodes have been aired (23rd episode is here). And just recently, the option for a season three selection was available on the Viceland page for “F*ck, That’s Delicious”. So expect to see more episodes of this entertaining and attention grabbing food series hosted by Mr. Wonderful himself. The man knows his stuff.
