The views from the “6” must be quite the sight; although, the only thing rapper Drake has in sight is more hit tracks. This week marked Drake’s 400th consecutive week on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

It is no surprise that Drake is dominating the music industry.

With major success and versatility, the rapper isn’t shy to the spotlight. Multiple platinum albums, sell-out shows and an undivided dedication to his music makes him qualified and deserving.

The Top 100 chart is a standard and an accomplishment for artists. Four-hundred weeks is a long time…400 weeks puts us back almost eight years. Complex did an excellent job at putting this into perspective for us: “That’s almost eight years. Think about it. May 2009 is when the streak started. Barack Obama was just starting his first term as president.” Drake has held control on the charts for two presidential terms.

Amongst the tracks that placed Drake on the chart, some of the most noteworthy include “Headlines” off Take Care, “Hold On, We’re Going Home” off Nothing Was The Same and “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance” from the Views album.

With 400 weeks beneath his belt, we cannot wait to see him hit the next monumental milestone. Congratulations Drake, you not only have the “6” on your side, but the rest of the world.
