Crank up this week’s playlist because we are kicking it off with Cleveland’s own Crankdat and his re-crank of Porter Robinson’s “Unison.” The mix starts with the original intro and transitions into the producer’s usual heavy trap style. But where this remix grabbed our attention was in the second drop where we hear a moment of Moombah with all the ethnic snare and flare.

We’re also bringing you a new single from Louis The Child, “Fire.” With over 500,000 streams on Soundcloud already, the song blurs lines between slow, sensitive pop and the EDM pulse Louis The Child has been providing since inception.

And if this week hasn’t been all that good to you, our favorite producer is going to make it all Ookay with a new EP! Cocoon features five tracks, all giving off more “Thief” vibes than his heavier festival sets. The artist took to twitter to share how excited he was to share this new EP with his fans (it’s been four years since his last).

Let us know what your favorite release was this week on the Life Backstage Twitter account!
