At approximately 1pm Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, Maryland rapper Logic tweeted the artwork to his newest single “FLEXicution.” Fast forward 12-hours later and we have a new Logic record from the rising hip-hop star. The braggadocios anthem was composed by Visionary Music Group in-house producer 6ix.

As the title references, “FLEXicution” is a track meant to flex on all his current industry counterparts. Logic opens the verse experimenting with a new slower flow than his usual barrage of similes and metaphors, but gets back to flows we know and love him for by the start of the second verse. Within the hook he claims, “This is what the people say they wanted from the rap God,” assuming he’s referring to all critics and naysayers of his greatness.
