Brett Stogsdill, otherwise known by Mielo, an up-and-coming futuristic bass producer native to Chicago, is making sensational moves in 2016.

Ending 2015 on a strong note with his performance at React Presents’ Chicago based festival, Reaction New Year’s Eve alongside EDM superstars Deadmau5 and Skrillex,  Mielo has continued to astonish audiences in 2016. Opening for Louis The Child, Russ Liquid, Alison Wonderland, San Holo and Cash Cash, with forthcoming performances scheduled as direct support for Elephante and then another festival appearance in July at 515 Alive Music Festival, Mielo has stayed busy traveling across the continental US to appease fans and gain momentum within his career.

Still relatively young to the scene as Mielo’s first track “Surreal” released less than a year ago, earning over 500 thousand streams on SoundCloud and gaining the attention of many, “Surreal” creates an ethereal vibe for listeners. With its calming ambient foundation, and a flare of melodic future bass and then powerful but sensitive female vocals by Abby Sevcik, “Surreal” is just that: surreal.

Out today, April 12, is Mielo’s remix of Porter Robinson‘s “Say My Name” and it is certainly promising. Mielo showcases his talent as an electronica producer as he takes the original upbeat electro-house track and beautifully remixes it to create that soothing ambient electronic beat that is nothing short of aesthetically appeasing to the ears. Adding his own flare with glitchy synths and samples of melodic bass, this remix is one you want to add to your playlist, and Mielo is definitely a producer to keep an eye on.
