If you want to talk about elite artists, let’s talk about Skrillex. Whether you dig his style of music or not, it’s undeniable that he is a musical genius. Track after track he showcases his talent, mastering genre after genre and tackling a plethora of projects, remixes and collaborations all while he manages his label, OWSLA and travels the globe performing as Skrillex and his side project, Jack U. The man has a full plate in and outside of his solo career, yet he somehow still manages to stay on top of the game.

It’s irrefutable that Skrillex has an impressive resume. His endless list of collaborations is top tier in the EDM community, featuring the hottest artists like Kaskade, Wolfgang Gartner,  Zomboy, Snails, Diplo + many more, as his list is very extensive. His most recent collaborations, and releases, are a broad mix that stretches to include a variety of genres under the EDM spectrum. For example, his collaboration with MUST DIE! on OWSLA’s Worldwide Broadcast, “VIPs” varies greatly in nature from his collaboration with Elliphant, “Spoon Me”, on her Living Life Golden EP. He then also has “Killa” feat. Elliphant on Wiwek’s The Free & Rebellious EP and “Pretty Bye Bye” with Team EZY ft. NJOMZA, again on OWSLA’s Worldwide Broadcast that again showcase his ability to be a multi-genre producer.

His latest release is no exception. Straying from his dubstep roots, Skrillex showcases his softer side on his Hundred Waters remix of “Show Me Love”. Originally dropped as a worldwide exclusive Annie Mac’s BBC1 Radio show on 3/21, this remix has been highly anticipated since he teased fans about a second possible collaboration with Chance The Rapper.

Taking the original song from a soft and gentle acoustic ballad that is less than a minute and half long, Skrillex completely transforms the once acoustic track to an electronic masterpiece. Adding vocals from Chance The Rapper and a soft but bubbly trap beat, Skrillex created a 4-minute soulful trap remix that is more than aesthetically pleasing to the ears.
